- Can I run Google AdSense and Chitika | Premium on the same page?
Yes! You can use Chitika Ads and AdSense together on the same page because:
- Chitika ad units are NOT contextual
- Chitika ad units do NOT look like AdSense units
- Why would I want to run both AdSense and Chitika | Premium together?
There are three main reasons:
- Increased Revenue – Google AdSense revenue + Chitika revenue is generally much greater than AdSense revenue alone. You can see real publishers’ examples of this here and here.
- Flexible Integration – If we don’t have a super-targeted ad to show, then we don’t show anything. Yeah, we collapse and the ad disappears (not leaving any blank space). This allows for creative integration on your pages (like between content). This is not something you can do with any other ad units.
- User Experience – The Chitika | Premium ads do look a lot different from AdSense, and are super-targeted to the exact keywords that the user is searching for. Users love targeted ads.
- Are Chitika | Premium Ads PPC (Pay-Per-Click)?
Yes – Chitika | Premium Ads are PPC (Pay-Per-Click) ads.

- So Chitika | Premium Ads will only display to traffic that comes to my site from a search engine?
Correct – Chitika | Premium Ads will only display to users that come to your site via a search engine.
- What about the traffic that comes to my site from any other source (non-search engine traffic)?
You have 2 options:
- The default option is to have the ad collapse entirely – it will not display, and it will not leave any blank space.
- The other option is to display another ad of your choice (AdSense, Tribal Fusion, etc.). You can do this easily using our Alternate URL feature.
- What type of ads will users see on my site? (How does the targeting work?)
Chitika | Premium will target the ads to whatever your user entered into the search engine originally. For example, if you run a site about cars, and the user found your site by typing “new ford explorer” into a search engine, then Chitika | Premium will show ads targeted to “new ford explorer.”
- What types of sites do Chitika | Premium Ads work on?
ALL types of sites, including finance, news, auto, health, etc. As long as you receive a significant amount of search engine traffic, then Chitika | Premium ads should work great for you.
- I use an ad-server (such as DART, Google AdManager, OpenX, etc.). Will Chitika | Premium work in my ad server?
Yes – Chitika | Premium can integrate nicely with most ad server solutions, but you will probably need special code. We can help you get up and running very easily – just send an email over to adserversupport@chitika.com and one of our techs will set you up.
- Which countries do Chitika | Premium Ads support traffic from?
Right now Chitika | Premium ads will display to search engine traffic from the US and Canada. We do plan on adding more countries moving forward.
- I have more than 1 website – can I use Chitika | Premium on my other sites too?
Absolutely – as long as your other sites comply with our Terms and Conditions, then you can add our Chitika | Premium to any of your sites without notifying us.
- What sizes are Chitika | Premium Ads available in?
